Looking for a little help and a little local knowledge.

I'm looking for a place to spend Jan-April this year. I've spent three months in Windermere (Orlando) each of the last three years and it's been great. I've looked at joining a few courses in the area but think I don't want to commit to staying there for the next ten years or anything. The weather is great and there are plenty of great courses but with all the deals out there these days I'm considering a change.

I want a GREAT place to play and practice that isn't too busy.

Multiple courses would be a benefit.

Practice facility must have great range with good balls and turf and a great short game area.

Lake Nona in Orlando is a thought but I'm stuck with the commitment of the $60K initiation.

Bella Collina was waiving initiation but it's in the middle of nowhere and could shut down.

I basically want private golf without the initiation fee or at least a very small fee.

Places of interest so far are Scottsdale and Austin.

Florida and California are still options if the right situation is out there.

Looking for something along the same lines as this.

I'd actually be interested in leaving North America for the right situation but it does present logistical issue.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Maybe something completely different...? Like Sea Island, GA?

Cant beat Scottsdale right now. Fantastic conditions that time of year and even better weather. Plus many of the private clubs have great deals running now. The quality of some of the public tracks is so good you may just be better off buying a Troon card and playing/practicing there all the time. If your fortunate enough to afford/Join Whisper Rock please let me play it just once lol.

Affording Whisper Rock and being invited are two different things. haha.gif

What courses are offering deals?

I'll look into the Troon card.

Very true RE Whisper Rock. About the deals i dont know all the specifics since most are currently out of my range. I have heard Blackstone had some great deals. Medicaptain knows about more of the private clubs than I do may be worth a pm to him for more specifics. I do know the troon card is a great value for some great courses and good practice facilities. It was a rough year for golf this year so a lot of the clubs drastically reduced or eliminated initiation fees. More so on the clubs outside of Scottsdale.

Scottsdale is a strong possibility but I would still need some help to narrow the field even before heading out there for a weekend tour.

What else people......I don't need a huge golf area.......just one great situation......so it may not be in a golf capital like Scottsdale.

Keep em coming. clapping.gif

I should mention that I will be 29 at that time.

Been reading other threads that have mentioned some great discounts on "junior memberships".

OK....last shameless bump!

Really.....no Florida or Cali guys have any input?
