I received my first pair of the new Footjoy Icon shoes on Friday (black and white traditional saddles). I wore them for the first time Saturday, taking a cart for the 18 holes. The shoes felt very comfortable at first. About midway through the round, I noticed that the bottom of my left foot was beginning to bother me. I always seem to have problems with the left foot. Anyway, I finished the round thinking that the shoes just needed breaking in. I decided to wear the shoes again today. The shoes felt great. No problems whatsoever. I have always worn Classics or Classic Tours. If you look closely at the Icons, you can see a difference in the construction vs. the Classics, especially around the sole. That being said, I actually think the new features incorporated in the Icon make them a winner. The memory foam around the collar makes your foot feel locked in. The cushioning is excellent. While these are clearly not the hand made Classic Premiers that I grew up with, they are an improvement over the Classic Tours.

How did you get them so soon? They aren't in stock at any of my local stores yet as far as I know.

I also have given my new pair of icons the once over, and must say I love them, They where tight at first, but once I broke them in, they feel great. I got the all brown with brown ceoc print saddles and have a similar black pair on the way.

I'm ordering a pair online and have no access to try one on for fit. How do they compare with other Footjoy's and is there another shoe in the Footjoy line that fits the same.
