has anyone played this course, and if so, do you have any advice on how to get around? i heard it is "target" golf, but anything more specific would be appreciated.

There's a love/hate relationship with this course with the verdict pretty evenly split. I happen to really like it because it is so different from any other course in the area. Due to the greens fees, I've only played it three times but enjoyed each round. It is very target oriented with blind shots and/or elevation on most holes. It feels almost like a stadium course, with mounding surrounding a lot of the holes. The first hole gives you a great indication of what to expect. I don't recall if it's a par four or five but you tee off from one of the highest points on the course to a green that you can see straight out. Between you are at least two waste areas, several lay-up areas that look smaller than they are and trouble on all sides from tee to green. No bombing and gouging on this course but a fun experience if you're open to it.
