I thought i was closer but i took too much club, about a 15 foot putt and was left by about 6 inches, got it in for par
anyone else have good pictures of par 3's? and i included a picture of the range

magnificent!

probably be good for my game, as i would be so focused on the scenery i'd forget about swing mechanics!

Not quite as nice of a backdrop as yours, but a stunning hole anyways. This was at Pine forest in Bastrop, TX. I dont remember the hole number, but it was at least 100' down hill. There was another par 3 that was almost as high, and one that was significant, but not quite as dramatic. I managed to hit this green, which is an accomplishment considering my entire golf life has been played on flat courses in southeast Texas, with the exception of a few courses in Jersey.

This was in Vegas at Silverstone golf club, hole #2 (dont remember which 9). There are no mountains around where I live, so I enjoyed the view. While we were out on the course that day, we got a good show from some A10 Warthogs that were flying through the mountains also. Pretty wild. That's all I've got.

No pics needed, I have been fortunate enough to play # 16 at Cypress point, into the teeth of a 35mph wind. 215 from the tips, playin' 250. Trusty CB2 3 wood thru the back, up and down for par. will never forget that as long as i live.

This is at Aviara in Carlsbad Ca. You cant see them but there are lifesize bronze statues of a family walking next to the green.

Most scenic par 3 I've played is #3 at Spyglass Hill. Not the toughest of par 3's, but a beauty nonetheless.

*Pic borrowed off another site, stupid me didn't bring my camera when I played.

Wow, when I first read the title this is the hole that popped into my head. I was there in 2000 and played that course, I was 12 at the time.
I remember the pin was on the front left just over the water, hit my tee shot a little chunky and it just made it to the green.
Amazing course, but your depth perception is extremely off due to the mountains surrounding you.

Not the nicest but one of the more interesting ones. This was at Gatlinburg Golf Course in Pigeon Forge, TN.

HOLY SH(^!!!! How far was that drop? Talk about Vertigo, I don't think I'd be able to finish my swing afraid I'd go tumbling over the edge.

Unfortunately don't have my pics from Wolf Creek or Le Diable on my computer, but this is a good one

#7 at the Straits course

ZBigStick
#14 Peachtree GC

#15 Atlanta Athletic Club (Highlands)

#13 TPC Sawgrass (Stadium)

I detest those severe downhill par three. Any more than 2 clubs is "silly golf" in my books.

How do I scale my images? Is it not automatic?

Number 17 at Legend at Giants Ridge

Forgot about that hole. Amazing as well. Funny story to do with that, I was with 3 other friends playing, and we had played the Quarry the day before as well as Buffalo Point in Manitoba the day before that. 3 of the 4 of us had either posted the low round, or tied for the low round in those two previous days. The 4th member who had not posted the low score was leading going to 17, he felt that the distance was in between clubs but wasn't sure what he wanted to do. He decided to go with the longer club and take his full 2 club lengths back from the tee markers. Sure enough, hits his shot and we all watch it drop 2 feet short into the water. He didn't recover after this, and has not heard the end of it.

If you've palyed the Legend, have you played the Quarry?
We played in twice in 1 day and the second time through we decided to play from the tips. Came up to #4 to be surprised by a 269yd. par 3, it was an eventful hole to say the least.

Number 4 at the quarry is crazy from the tips. At least it is flat or even a little down hill. The Wilderness at Fortune Bay also has some nice par 3s. Elevated tees and huge backstop in middle of the 4th hole.

It's the #2 on the Valley course. If you look at my avatar, it's the tee box of #6 of the Desert course which is really cool with the snow on Mt. Charleston.

Ive got to rememeber to put up pics of an executive course I played last week up in sedona. It was stunning

#4 on Pinehurst #4

#16 Mountain Course @ La Quinta is pretty good looking. Especially if you hit the green!
LagunaLove
#3 at Pasatiempo, this isn't taken from the tee box, but this hole is brutal, beautiful and classic all rolled up into one hole!
