Title says it all. I am trying to decide between a Footjoy rain vest or short sleeve jacket. Which do you use? I plan on using in light rain only in warm weather. Does the short sleeve jacket restrict your swing at all? Does the vest not keep you dry enough? Thanks for your input.

I have both, I wear the short sleeve a lot more than the vest style. To me the important thing is that it be 100 perecent WATERPROOF not water resistant. It doesn't hinder my swing at all. The vest I usually only wear if it's a bit cool in the morning and I dont' think I need a ful windshirt.

For me it depends on how hard it is raining. When I played a lot of tournaments and you HAD to play when it was raining I wore the short sleeve, even long sleeve version. Now that I only play in nice weather or a sprinkle of rain I use the vest.

Good point about "how hard it is rainin"

If it was a downpour i would have gortex on hehe smile.gif

however with a light mist i dont use either i have a 100% nylon long sleeve pull-over which is ideal for cold windy light rainy days

I like to use the SS jacket. It is less restricting and considering it is usually warm when I am playing and get caught in the rain cooler. When wearing a vest your shirt sleeves still get wet.In heavy rains I do have a LS jacket but really find the SS to be more general purpose for me.

I prefer my short sleeve rain top over my rain vest. It keeps me drier, and, it doesn't restrict my swing at all.

I use a short sleeve jacket for rain or when it is starting to get cold.

I have both, but I still think the SS to me feels a bit more restrictive. I like my Sunice vest since I feel like it frees me up a bit more to swing. But I agree with the other guys if it picks up I'm definitely throwing on the SS.
