I'm making the drive from NYC out to Crystal Springs to play 36 holes. It looks like we're going to play Ballyowen and either Crystal Springs or Wild Turkey.

Any suggestions?

I feel like I can't go wrong here.

Ballyowen is a sweet course. I've heard Wild Turkey is good. The only thing I know about Crystal Springs is that it made one of the magazines' Top 50 hardest courses list.

Ballyowen hands down. Just beautiful but you'll pay for the beauty too.

Wild Turkey is second. It's nice track with the exception of the 2nd hole IMO, which is kind of sandwiched in (you'll see). Still, play it.

The Crystal Springs course is very gimmicky. The fairways can be described as moguls, or 'volkswagen beetles buried under the turf'. Never a flat lie. The 11th Par 3 is amazing to see, but is really just an 8 iron to a crazy green 80 feet below.

I'd skip the others.
