I thought there were problems with the Sun Mountain Bags fitting on a cart ?

I just returned a Sun Mountain 4 5 after one use. I am looking for a replacement for my Ping Hoofer 4.
I love the straps and the weight of the bag, but I couldn't deal with a bag that went on sideways on a golf cart. Having it sideways AND 14 individual slots just made it too much work getting clubs in and out. I also hated the way the umbrellas was 'held' to the bag. I use the term 'held' lightly as the umbrella never stayed in place. Lastly, I wasn't a fan of the way the legs kicked out. Maybe I'm used to my old Ping but I could feel when the legs were extended, with the SM I almost dropped the bag several times because one or both legs were not extended.

I have really been struggling with finding a new bag (also returned the Mizuno Twister III). If I could take the SM straps and put it on a Ping, I'd be very happy.

So does the ping hoofer vantage fit on a cart?
