Was it just me but I was furious all weekend with the lack of leaderboards and individual scores. For NBC to brag so much about their sports prowess, I guess the score posting chair was empty. Here's how it works -- when a player is first shown, you show the their current score. When a player putts out a hole, you show the new score even if it didn't change. And show the leaderboard when you go to those craptastic ambient shots of the grounds or before a commercial break. It's pretty easy. So what happened!! And I pass the soapbox....
Is any channel showing Monday coverage or is it webbased totally?
I guess we watched the same video-feed... When they showed the leaderbord they "never" scrolled to 2nd 3rd etc page. And I must say that if you watched this with commercial breaks you missed a lot too. I listened to the english commentators, and I think they switched commentators when your video went to commercial, and that was when you got to see a wider selection of players, that is more than tiger + say top 5.
I guess you can pay to get some other channel and be freed from the commercials? And what type of commercials did they run. Any fun or good golf ads, superbowl quality, or just some beer ads?
I used my notebook as an addition to the TV, the us open webpage was very solid. The leaderboard sometimes updated a score before it was shown on the TV. On the webpage you could look at the course map and flyovers.
