I caught up with the guys at Tattoo Golf back on Friday, June 5. Amazingly, it was a very rainy morning here in Southern California. This NEVER happens…especially this time of year! We spent the first 3 holes wet and playing with the hopes of the weather clearing. It did and the course was amazing. DeBell is a tight little spot in the hills of Burbank. I got a lucky bounce on one hole to make par and owned another for par. Other than that...well...I played a respectable game and had a great time.

The clubhouse was recently renovated and is really nice. After the round we went in and had some food and drink that was really enjoyable. The place was immaculate and the staff was really friendly.

For you traditional/conservative golfers - we play a bit more casual here in SoCal. We all have on collared shirts but the guys aren't always tucked in. Take a peek and you'll see a skull or two on our attire, bags, and other accessories. If you see the pics with me I am in totally acceptable attire...I just have some rather progressive graphics on my shirt, bag, and cover. Diversity is the spice of life, eh?

In all seriousness, I had a great time at this course, clubhouse, and range afterward. The restrooms were lady-friendly and I never felt out of place even though I played with 3 men.

Shoot me a PM if you wanna play this with me and Mr. DeLancey sometime. He'll play from the black and although I play from the white I won't slow you down.

Hows the new clubhouse?
I went a long while ago.. when they were still fixing it up.
It's a really nice course. I'd love to go back again except my dad's friends keep reserving expensive places ._.;; stupid Montebello CC ._.;

And your first picture.. man that's where you crossed the road right?
I hated that hole.. I lost like 2 balls there ._.;

And the par three with the bell biggrin.gif i love that hole.. You hit the mountain and the ball bounces back into the fairway biggrin.gif

The clubhouse was very nice in my opinion. We really enjoyed it, the service, and the food. I will definitely be playing here and visiting the clubhouse afterward again very soon!

I also love the par 3 with the bell! I got a really lucky bounce right in the corner of the cart path that put it almost to the green and made par!

I opened the post thinking they would be all tat'd up but didnt see one tat on anybody. I was like they should be called no tattoo golf LOL. When I visit LA soon I am going to have to check that course out.

I played this course 3 months ago and really liked it, my only problem is that my game is not good enough to play mountain courses. I truly enjoyed the challenge, but I lost too many balls. Same happened to me recently in another mountain course I played here in Portugal:

(scorecard is in meters - 1 meter approx 1.1 yards)

Are mountain courses really harder or is it just me?
