My wife volunteers for an organization called Circle Tail.

Circle Tail provides assistance dogs to people with mobility, hearing, neurologic or psychiatric disabilities. We also provide dogs for adoption, as well as offer obedience training, behavior management and boarding services. Circle Tail is a 501©3 non-profit organization located near Cincinnati, Ohio.

They are having a golf outing on SEPTEMBER 18. This is their second year having the outing. The first one, they didn't make that much money on it. I would like to get some ideas on how to make it successful.

The outing is for September 18th

-Don't run it like a charity event. So many charity events don't provide incentives for golfers to show up other than the self-satisfaction of knowing you've helped a little....which isn't too enticing to most people.

-If you have expensive entry fees, have nice prizes.

-Golf outings/tournaments are being held by everyone nowadays, you have to find reasons to get people to go to your event.

50/50 raffles are good money-makers for the golf outings I've been to...
