On the Sunday before the US Open, my buddy and I went out for 18 holes on a public course. With a trip to Bethpage scheduled for Saturday, all things Open related were up for discussion (Phil, Tiger, the Cally Rocco Promotion).
While I was standing on the 6th tee, I noticed an African-American guy on the 4rd green wearing the full Sunday Red Tiger outfit. Red Nike Shirt, black pants, and shoes!! All he needed was Stevie and a staff bag to complete the total look.
To my surprise, his entire group was dressed in basically the same outfit. Furthermore, the next three groups were dressed up in the same basic outfits (red shirts, black or tan slacks/shorts).
On the Sunday before the US Open, someone managed to organize a tournament/outing for African-American golfers and managed to convince everyone to dress up like Tiger.
I thought it was pretty cool.

I think that's pretty cool, I wouldn't say it's genius or madness, but it seems to be a fun get together.

I would pay to see that type of outing at one of the upscale courses in "The OC".

What does that have to do with the OP seeing a group of black guys dressed like Tiger? Had they been part Thai I'm sure he would have mentioned it.
Isn't Tiger quarter Thai, not half? White, Asian, Black and Indian?

Maybe Tiger was in the group, and you were distracted by the decoys, exactly as planned! Genius!

He's one-quarter Chinese, one-quarter Thai, one-quarter African American, one-eighth Native American, and one-eighth Dutch.

So basically Caublinasian.
That event sounded amusing. A lot of people dress that way every weekend, so to have them all come together is genius. Well maybe not genius but a pretty good idea.
What's next, a dress like Phil event?
