Is there THAT big of a difference between the two to justify the extra expense? I've heard that a divider for each club (ala the 4.5) makes them bang around more, is there any merit to this? I'm looking into getting a carry bag, and don't mind spending the money (hell I've had my current bag for probably 7 years?) as long as it's worth it! Thanks in advance guys!

I just bought the Three 5, and to me it is the perfect bag. I carry about 90% of the time and wanted the lightest bag I could get. This bag has everything for me, and I like to keep it as light as possible, how much stuff do you really need to carry. I don't need the 14 individual dividers.

I'd say if you carry, and don't need a bigger bag, get the Three 5. I will have mine a long time.

I'm a somewhat new Four5 owner. The claims of 14 dividers banging the clubs around is simply false. I came from a bag with 6 dividers and they clanked around like crazy. I hated it. I also hated how they tangled coming out of the bag. No more. The four5 is light, the straps kick a**, and there is a ton of storage. I can't find a flaw with this bag at all.
FWIW I walk almost always. Have yet to try it in the cart. Have heard you have to turn it sideways, but I did with my previous bag too. I'm sure the three5 is good too, but I'm now a fan of the 14 dividers.

Picked it up on ebay for $149 shipped brand new. Can't beat it smile.gif

Edit:
Not sure how most set up their clubs in this bag but mine are as follows....

3wood, driver, hybrid
4, 5, 6, 7
8, 9, pw, gw,
56*, putter, 60*

The 3.5 is very solid. Im sure if you shopped around you could find a nice deal on one too. I dont think I have any complaints about it, its an all around good bag. Stays standing, light, iron dividers do just fine, and plenty of room for my crap. Find one that has colors you like- buy it. :P

I'm also a new 4.5 owner. Love it. The 3.5 is sexy too though. Like turbo4door (what car is that btw? I used to have an Evo IX) I've come to like the 14 dividers. I hated when my clubs got tangled in the bottom of my Hoover Vantage. I have no problems with the 4.5 other than the aforementioned cart fit. I do have to put it on there sideways but I don't care about that enough for it to bother me.

My set up is the same as turbo's except the bottom row is: 54, 58, putter (belly)

I agree on the no tangle. That was my main reason for buying the bag, plus all of the positive reviews I had read on here and just about everywhere else.

Deadpool, its an 02 WRX with a few mods and 152k on the ticker. Its the daily beater/dog hauler now. Moved on to a car with the motor in the rear and 2 more cylinders biggrin.gif

Alright thanks guys! Think I'm going to go ahead and order the four 5 from budgetgolf, I've got a $15 off coupon to use for them from a previous purchase.

I have the 4.5, and love it! This bag is solid from the ergonomics, to the practicality. The straps are fantastic, the compartments are large and convenient. Anyone that has told you the 14 compartments makes more noise has obviously either never had a regular carry bag, or never walked before. There is some noise, obviously, but it is minimal, and when you go to reach for that 7 iron in that specific compartment, guess what......you get that club and that club only! No fighting with other clubs wanting to be pulled and played too clapping.gif Hope this helps.

Thanks

I just got my new sunmountain SLX. This thing is amazing. I love the crossover strap, this thing is so comfortable to carry and extremely light. Compared to my Ogio Edge, it feels like I'm missing a 10lb plate on my back. Beautiful design too.
