I was surprised to find out that Phil is leading the field in driving distance.
Is there anything he's doing differently in his swing/equipment changes?
I noticed him getting particularly long earlier this year and last year, but I didn't know he could lead the field in distance like he is now..

He's made a greater commitment to fitness, starting maybe 3-4 years ago. He's been getting longer and longer ever since.

I think he quit trying to guide the ball as much and is just letting it rip.
Nasty bombs!

He is absolutely smashing the crap out of the golf ball. Did anyone see his monster jam on #15 at Augusta? There wasn't a divot within a 100 yards of it. L-M-A-O...

Considering he is not the youngest guy in the field - he hits it a mile. The Sunday at Doral with the duel between Phil and Nick Watney was excellent. Nick is pretty long but a dehydrated Phil was right there. Phil's club head speed on TV at Doral was pretty incredible considering he is almost 40.

WTF? If you look after yourself there's no reason you can't be just as fit and strong at 60 as you were at 20, nevermind approaching 40.

No I get you but it seems like Phil has really been working on his fitness and has been hitting it longer. His club head speed and distance are almost as dast & far as ant of the young guys with maybe the exception or Bubba and the big kid from Spain.
Kenny Perry is guy who seems to be getting better with age. He says he does not work on fitness but Kenny lost some weight which must have helped.
