This dawned on me after watching Guy Boros waddling around the course sweating profusely and wiping all of hit sweat w/ a large white towel (im guess, specifially for sweat) and throwing it to had caddy after every shot.
He's about 400lbs, losing some weight would probably help his scoring tremendously.

At least he got to use a stand bag.

Yeah, I'm by no means in shape, but he looked painfully uncomfortable out there today.
Hope he plays well tomorrow and finishes in the top 10 so he gets in the week after the US Open.

He's always like that and I'm sure will never change. I've followed around the course a while at a Nationwide event and he'll go walk outside the ropes to grab some shade, and will walk the whole course smoking cigarettes (at least he used to) but he seemed like a nice family guy. I remember some of his family were at an event I was at in TN a few years ago. Guy hit his tee shot on #1 then goes into the crowd and picks up a little girl (daughter/grand daughter/relative? i don't know) and pushes her a ways down the path in a stoller. He then got back in the ropes and hit his next shot.

I've talked to Guy many many years when the Nationwide tour was in my area, the course they play was upper Peak & Peak which is very hilly his shirt looking like he dived into a pool. He's a big man but carries the weight well ( super nice guy) You look at this guy and say no way he he going to get a a golf ball airborne, but he's solid very straight and putts very well, kinda short pop stroke. By the way the last day i worked he had a wedge made on the tour van, hit 5 or 6 shots with it and said here

gave it to me it's hanging in my office.

no doubt a great player.. just doesn't look healthy at all, it's almost hard for me to watch him on tv.

I hate to say this but I can't resist.
The way the sweat drained down inside his pants and then seeped out around the crack of his botox just looked obscene or embarrassing. Or both. On the other hand, he was not the only one out there sweating profusely or even the only one sweating through his Jockey shorts.
But he kept hitting nice shots. Even as he looked like he was about to collapse after getting his ball out of the cup.
Neither here nor there, but I think it is neat to see the children and grandchildren of famous golfing greats out there carrying on the tradition. Who else is there?
Boros, Stadler, isn't there a Geiberger?, Armour, ... ??? I know there are others, just can't think of them right now.

+1.. Im sure he is a nice guy but I almost changed the channel when I had to watch him bend to get his ball out of the cup. I just KNEW he was going to fall over, but he didnt. Colt Knost isnt far behind him.
He did look like he was about to have a heat stroke though, in all seriousness....

He is big, but apparently has finished no lower that 15th in the same event each year. He does get it around. That shot on the par three yesterday was incredible.

At least his caddy only has to carry the bag and not Guy.

His caddie is his 16 year old nephew. First caddie dropped out in the first round because of the heat and humidy we have here right now.

Stockton, Baird, Weibring, Miller's kid, Nicklaus.
If you ever go to Memphis (Africa Hot) in the summer, the sweat will drain down your pants too!!!
He is one of the best, most normal guys on the tour. Very talented and probably always under-achieved. Don't count him out.

His stomach is halfway down his thighs when he hits.. money or not, he's def. got the game.. just worried about his health.. Daly lost 61 lbs and it seems to be helping the rest of his game as well.. just saying.

Didn't notice, but I don't doubt it. Sounds like Depends could be a sponsor for these events along with all the other unmentionable products.
Hey, I grew up in South Carolina and if/whenever I go back in the summer, I wonder how in the heck I survived my childhood with no a/c. I even have good memories of summer in SC. Wow. I guess I was too young to know any better, but now I wonder how my yankee parents survived it. Double wow. And they had to withstand the stigma of being yankees, too. Triple wow.
