Foot Joy "Athletic" golf shoes (the ones like sneakers) have what I think I was looking for. A slight "lip" on the outside of each shoe to help with swaying, unerneath the lip it says for stability. Anyone try these?

Just bought a pair myself
seem comfortable enough, fit like a glove
played witha guy the other day who was wearing a pair and he loved them
I prefer the jogger style of golf shoe to the street shoe style
so will always get the athletic type
In Australia we have very hard courses during summer feet cop plenty so important to have a good shoe on

I'm on my second pair. VERY comfortable shoes. I walked 18 the first time I wore them without any issues. I like the sneaker style because I wear shorts 85% of the time. You will need to change out the useless Pulsar spikes that don't last but a few months. Black Widows or Stingers are more durable.

I did get some flack from the style council about these shoes looking like old man's shoes. OK, whatever, I'm a function over form kind of guy and my feet don't hurt at the end of the day.

thx, Bogey Train. I prefer the sneaker type, too. But, did the lip
on the outside of the shoe, help with stability and swaying?
