Any views on Trevor Immelman's (relative) decline this year. He's one of my favourite players with a fantastic swing and approach to the game. I watched a great programme last night on Sky about his life from childhood prodigy to Masters champion so I was just curious as he has now slipped to the mid-40s in the world rankings which seems low for a player of his talent.

This is a mystery to me also, I thought winning the Masters would set him free, so to speak,
and he'd become elite. I know he's battled with illness and injuries, but so have lots of guys on the tour.
I would hazard a guess that he has been a mechanical player so long, that when things
don't work, the faith in your swing falls off, and also his putting has never been his friend for
any length of time. But, whatever, I hope he gets it sorted out.

Golf is one heck of a game. You are only as good as your last putt.

Nagging wrist injury...

Best to Trevor for sure -- a quality guy with a beautiful swing!
Recently had an overuse wrist injury (strained ligaments from golf in case you wondered!) and a brutal interaction with a buried root in the rough (that freakin hurt + I broke the shaft in the process). Luckily nothing serious -- told by an ER doctor friend of mine to just take 2 weeks off and you'll be back as good as new. Of course, I told him that was not a possible alternative!
So, after 6 weeks of soreness and a taped wrist, regular doses of Aleve and some occasional discomfort, I'm finally back to normal. Definitely puts a damper on the game for awhile.
I can only imagine the impact on a tour player's game.
