Played it and loved it...bent grass greens......it's a great track.....plus the ammenties are out of this world...

Great bent grass greens that run around 12 most of the time but can get to 14 pretty easy when they want them fast. Zoysia fairways so there is never a bad lie. Zoysia rough that is kept playable but the native areas beyond the first cut of rough are brutal. Front side is fairly open with two long, long par fours.

The back side runs through more trees and water. Fazio was quoted a couple of years back saying that it offered the best five finishing holes he has built with an up and down par 4 14th around 500 yards; the downwind par 3 15th over water at 250 yards; beautiful par 4 16th with water, the par 3 17th (shortest hole on the course and sometimes the hardest), and a 600 yard par 5 18th with water along the left side.

Clubhouse finally seems to be coming along and the community architecture, pro shop, and pool are really special.

Named number 10 course in Dallas Morn News state golf rankings but I'd disagree based on playing several of the other top ten courses and comments from other pros who come and play. Its one of the best conditioned courses you will find. And somewhat importantly, it is playable for wives.
We have a place on the lake there and initially, I wasn't sure it was for me. Played twice, had to play it twice more and bought in. Nice thing is, there always seems to be a game and will become an equity club in about 14 months.

It is in my best 3 in Texas. Zoysia fwys, bent greens! Fazio had a perfect piece of land. Not much dirt moved. Only hole I dont like is 15 , 240 par 3 water left. Greens are sweet !!!!!!!!
