Clarke has always been very easy to root for.
I guess if he considers Mickelson to be a close friend, we may reasonably conclude that Mickelson is not as universally hated as all the in the know posters suggest.

Darren has been my favorite golfer for a long time. I am in no way surprised to see this article about him reaching out to Phil and Amy.
Besides a great individual and golfer.....Darren Clarke is a true gentleman and champion for the great game of golf!
