I am heading to San Diego this week and want to get on the South Course at Torrey Pines. Do I have a realistic shot? I've heard people wake up and show up at dawn to play but I would not be up for that much effort. Let me know. Thanks.

If you are a single, you will get on with no problem.

Yep, show up as a single whenever and they'll usually get you out within an hour, which gives you time to putt for a little bit (always know where the ocean is!). Once in a while they'll send you straight to the first tee, so be ready.

I played Torrey last week as a single. I played on a Monday and only had a 45 minute wait. The other poster was right. Be ready because you'll be called very soon.
