Just had to vent, been trying to call Bethpage and get a tee time for weeks. Finally got through just as the clock struck 7 this evening. Yes this is it, finally!!! I have the whole system memorized speed through enter time and how many players as it is still 7:00 only to hear "there are no available tee times"

WTF??? If the phones open at 7 and i finish entered all the info and its still 7:00 on the nose how good all the times be gone, I"m only trying to get a 2some. Purse BS!!!

With that said, at this point I have a offer to anyone out there. Get me on the black before the open and I will pay for your round plus throw in 2 Dozen of your favorite balls.

I could have played today at 11, but i didnt take the tee time because the weather called for thunderstorms...i really dont want to play in bad weather, the course is already tough as it is. i'm gonna keep callin and callin....

You have to keep calling and keep calling. I called about 60 times this week trying to get something for Sat or Sun. I finally got something for Sun at 10:33. I think the forecast scared a couple people into canceling. I think it will just be harder and harder this next 2 weeks to get a tee time.

Alot of topics on the Black lately. I guess its to be expected, not that I'm complaining.

Just keep working the phones. I never got through at the regular time and was so frustrated to hear the "There are NO tee times available" spiel. Your best shot is honestly to just call and hope someone's canceled when you do. I made it a regular habit of calling every 10-15 minutes when I didn't have anything going on. Free long distance so it didn't bother me, and it finally paid off last saturday at about 5 pm.

Don't just try at 7. Make sure you try at random times. I picked up a 2 some 2 days in advance at either 9:15 pm or 10:15pm (can't remember). I tried for like 5 or 10 minutes in a row and all of a sudden a tee time opened up. VERY LUCKY.

On a side note - I doubt they are giving the full allotment of times away via the phone system. There were some guys from a major TV network there when I played and it seemed like most of the other guys had $$. Assuming a lot of people got there times through golfshuttle or something similar.
