Where in Utah? Pretty big state. wink.gif

Also, long-term discounts (golf pass) or something for a short visit?

Salt Lake Area or close to that. I was looking for like a 2 for 1 pass or some kind of promotion discount.

UGA membership comes with all kinds of 2 for 1 deals.

www.uga.org

Salt Lake City golf offers a Frequent Player discount. Card is $70 but you save 30% on greens fees and range balls at all 9 city-owned courses for a calendar year. I think it takes 9 rounds to make your money back.

One more note for Utah guys and gals-

Uinta Golf has TM TP balls 2 dozen for $55.

(Didn't know which forum to put this in. I could not find the Utah Wrx Forum. Does it still exist?)

It does, just behind the scenes a little more in the playing partners subforum (HERE).

As for the OP's original question, the deals I know of, like yours, are for longer term as well. There's a coupon book my buddy gets yearly that has a bunch of buy-one-get-one free rounds with cart rental. Not sure if it's worth it if you're only around for a week or two, though I can't be sure. I just reap the benefits. biggrin.gif

edit: btw--thanks for the heads-up on the balls. i'm set with the z-stars though! good.gif

PIP, you new to the state?

Nope. I've been here for life. I started golfing a couple of years back and just thought I should try to save some money this year. Beruo, what's the coupon book?

I did a couple year stint in the SLC area ending about 10 years ago. Time certainly may have changed things, but I found green fees for most courses in the area to be way more than reasonable. I remember I stayed away from Thanksgiving Point because it was $75+, but other than that it was all good.

Are the SLC area courses on golfnow.com?

I think he's talking about a book put out by the PGA. You can get them at Uinta Golf. I think they're around $50 and they are full of 2 for 1 deals.

I bought a Golf Passport through Salt Lake City Golf. It's expensive but offers unlimited play at all 9 SLC courses. It takes about 62 rounds to pay for itself but well worth it for me. I get over 100 rounds in annually.
