Already the most outstanding debut in a European Tour event. Shane has played 3 rounds of golf at the very highest level in extremely difficult conditions. Many big names have fallen by the wayside, including Harrington, who didn't even make the cut.

I hope Shane closes this out, a performance which would eclipse those of Danny Lee & Pablo Martin, as those guys were amateurs in name only and had played in professional events before their wins.

Great effort, too from Robert Rock, looking for his first ever win. Will be a great afternoon of golf!

Fantastically summed up! Heard he only took up golf 6 years ago!

Going to get myself a comfortable chair and enjoy the action as it unfolds! Hope Shane can hold it together but it like very little phases him.

Looks like he just starting to struggle with his game a little bit going into the back 9.

Much respect to him for putting SKY on the back foot every time he hits a bad shot - they arent sure what he is going to come out with next.

We have already had:

For xxxxx sake
You xxxxx sxxx txxx
What the xxxx was that?

Howard Clark having to apologise for his behavior is amusing when you consider he was probably the most explosive and badly tempered / behaved player on tour for most of his career.

Quality viewing!

If he is an amateur, then how come he is covered in Titleist?

The waterproofs are eisenhour trophy team issue.

As for the rest - don't we all have manufacturers logoed gear.

He's got a 4 footer for the title. Go on young un, you showed some big time bollocks if you hole it.

Maybe not.

European amateurs (and almost all of the top ranked ones) are allowed to sign club deals. They are not paid, but they can get all their equipment free.

It's funny how that putt on 18 in regulation went from an "easy right-center putt" to a 4'er real quick after he missed. I'm surprised he held on for the win.
