Sorry if this has been discussed, maybe I searched for the wrong topic. I just got new spikes and I can not for the life of me get these last two spikes off. It appears that the spike is ripped, so when I put the tool in to turn the spike, the tool just spins out of the little hole. What do you guys do to get the spikes out in this case? They are soft spikes and the fast twist system. Thanks.

soak the bottoms in luke warm water ( I have heard some say WD-40) then try some needle nose pliers and grab the spike on the side. good luck

Bah, needle nose pliers. Ill have to give that a try, cant believe I didn't try that.

Needle nosed Vise Grips work very well.
They have teeth that grip the base of the old spike.

Good luck, Al.

Thanks, unfortunately I have none of them with me lol.

Once you do get them out....make sure you put a drop of 3 in 1 oil in the cavity where the spikes go. This way, you wont run into the problem in the future.
