congrats to JD for the 2nd place finish... I hope the best for him in the near future

I hope he's laid off the wild side and has gotten serious. If he has, and if he remains that way, it's obvious he's still got game if he'll just continue working on it. He really is a likeable guy.

I'd put up a picture of him in my study if he were to do something, like, say, WIN ANOTHER BRITISH OPEN -- BY SHELLACKING TIGER, PHIL, OR SERGIO IN THE FINAL PAIRING!

That'd be way too cool.

So what's the story behind getting John Daly to wear your clothing line?

He actually looks 60 pounds lighter no joke.

Loud Mouth Golf? I saw you guys cruising around Torrey at last years open.

He had a belly-tuck operation and lost about that much. I'm always happy to see JD playing the way he's capable of. clapping.gif

Gastric band lost 55lbs, from a TV interview he did with SKY.

What i saw on TV he played very well. Looked calm and relaxed and was in good spirits when interviewed. Irish Open next.

im best friends with his godson... met him that way...
showed him mystuff and he liked it...

i am not loudmouth golf... those are only the pants he is wearing...
in ireland and from now on he will be wearing Joe Gallo Golf Clothing polos.....
they are very stylish and should look great with his pants...
look for big things to come out of this relationship... his caddie is wearing it in all the pix
Auditor_Kevin
Well I'll say this, you owe Loud Mouth Golf or whoever designed those pants a giant kiss on the cheek.

Those crazy pants are drawing all kinds of eyes to Daly. He has the most scrutinized fashion in all of sports right now.

Can't beat timing! And good luck with your products. The country needs more small business success stories right now.

I have criticized JD in the past but hopefully this is a turn in the right direction. Tons of talent, so good for him if he has changed his ways.

I'm not a big JD fan although I must admit I did not always feel that way. JD has fretted away more money than everyone on this site will ever see. Sooner or later he will hit rock bottom money wise and many will shower him in sympathy.
I hope for the sake of his family that he never goes completely broke and if he can keep his head together he will have golf to fall back on for many more years, but he has never followed through with with trying to turn his life around so why would anyone think this time would be different.
It will be great to see him back on the PGA Tour with his new attire, and I'm sure the tour could use his drawing power, but for me it will just be another guy wearing loud clothes fighting to make the cut.

I also hope he stays in Europe.

He pretty much already did hit rock bottom, at least once or twice.

Pleazze. JD is American golf legend, and brought our great country home the trophy from St. Andrews, the home of golf. Despite all his shortcomings, he has still done so much for us golf fans in the US. 3 majors are in the US, and dare I say that I think he has another major in him? He could do it, easy. He might even win a couple more majors; you just never know with JD.

I like JD and look forward to seeing him on tour again. Also dig the threads man - cool

Most golfers have followed John Daly throughout his golf career, his up's and his down's...Your last statement is what's most bothering, and also true, you just never know with John Daly.
Redman
I for some reason actually feel good about JD pulling it together this time. Of course that will all depend on the alcohol. If he can stay away from it he will be ok otherwise it will tear him down again. I would love to see him in contention in a couple of majors by year's end. Truly think about how awesome it would be for golf with Tiger and Phil battling it out and JD making a comeback too. I am not saying he will end up top 5 in the world or anything but he could come back and make some noise.
cb_golfer
Mi scusi Jimmy, but the Joe Gallo shirts I saw were made for the CHIII body types and not us Tim Herron types. What is JD going to wear, 3XL shirts?
Cubs_Fan_79
I just checked out your site, that White shirt with the lime green tie is ridiculously awesome, im ordering it now. Do you have a twitter page ? My friends will love this stuff

Look up the word Legend and explain to me how it describes John Daly?

I mean please Andy North won two US Opens woud you give him legend status?

Legend needs to be reserved for guys like Palmer ,Nicklaus ,Nelson, Hogan, Woods , and a few others maybe a Trevino or a Player. I see no way John Daly's name belongs on a list with these gentleman.

rolltide4life
John Daly is a ledgend because he John Daly. He has been through some pretty tough stuff and many americans sympathize with him. The difference between the guy who is struggling to keep a job and support his family in america and john daly is that Daly is much more publicized and much better at golf. I have been to tournaments to JD and its amazing to me how loyal his fans are. After every bogey he made there was always support from everyone saying "its ok big john we got a par 5 coming up you got this buddy" and you know what I cant think of anyone on the pga tour that has that kind of support. Ill end with this, John Daly seems like a guy that has had many hardships and has failed in trying to fix things (everyone fails at some things) and he is just like you and me in every other aspect and that is the way he carries himself, not better than anyone.
Bennyboyxl
Nice pics, and up close too. He is on the move, and is so talented.

That is a K4 Heavy Putter he is playing, and I understand there is big Tour News coming for the company and the Tours. It is a hot club, and JD, really played well with it.

I hope he plays well in Ireland.

2nd that - please stay in Europe! Also if he wants to play the PGA Tour, I would hope he would earn his tour card. Yes the one he lost years ago.

The shirts look good - hopefully he won’t fall short of your expeditions since I’m sure you know he’s a guy you can count on.
lagwagon23
I don't get the "Stay in europe" stuff; it's like he did something personally to hurt some peoples feelings. If he gets his act together and gets back on the US tour, then more power to him.
JimmyP91
johns gonna do great i have more pics from italy.. but its not letting me upload pics.. it says i have already used to much space... ?
anyway lets stop talking about my clothing co.. everytime i mention it i get a pm from one of the site officials...

Anyone who wins at St. Andrews is a legend. Just my opinion. Why am I the only one that ranks that course/major so high here? Nicklaus himself - the best golfer EVER - said that was the one tourny he wanted to win.

Hater...

Jealous?

Because the man is obese, more "morally bankrupt" than you (maybe), and because you just don't like him; because he made more money than you, had better game, and is just more succesful than you? Get back on your Tiger bandwagon. welcomeani.gif

Funny thing is, Tiger is pulling for J.D.
He genuinely cares about him as a friend.

And another thing, as "bad" as you think JD is, I cannot recall one time when he went off at the mouth on a tirade like Tiger on Nat'l TV in front of so many youngsters - the behavior he so frequently endulges in; you know, that great character and role model for kids. rolleyes.gif

whether playing well or not, the guy moves the needle in the way only a few pro golfers can. he's interesting.....he's a non-conformist for sure......and, as others have bluntly observed, he's a train wreck waiting to happen.

i don't think he'll keep it on the straight and narrow this time around......he'll do something to screw up this recent run of good fortune.....that's my prediction and i'm sticking to it.

that having been said, this isn't his last "phoenix rising from the ashes" moment in golf either. though i believe he'll fall again, i believe he'll rise again too. assuming he doesn't kill himself with his unhealthy lifestyle, there is probably nobody in the HISTORY of golf more looking forward to the champions tour. and heaven help those pea shooting 50 somethings when he finally gets out there (again, assuming his game is in relatively decent shape when he finally does). i'm guessing in the back of his mind that he believes that even though the next 6 years or so (can't remember exactly how old he is) are gonna be a challenge on the financial end, he's counting on the champions tour as his last great money grab......and if the breaks go his way between now and then, he'll be right.
TOUCH
Keep it going JD, from a fan that got invited out of the gallery to have dinner with you following that day's Tour Event. I did have a lady friend that was a brick house and that helped, as she was invited too. He is a vey likeable guy.

Give 'em heck JD
