Does anyone else have a really hard time remembering peoples names on the course? I can remember a face I saw once 10 years ago but unless you tape something to me saying "Hey buddy my name is XXXXXX" I will forget it a minute after we first shake hands. It's pretty sad to think about it too, I usually have to write their names down on my card along with something to identify them. Anyone else have this problem?

Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat. I'm not real proud of it either. I do make sure to write the names down on my card and use it when addressing them on the course, but a lot of times, I'm only focused on golf.

i sometimes have trouble with this too. most of the time when I'm playing with someone and they tell me their name i will repeat it just after they say it. then all round it is in my head and i wont forget it. only on the golf course do i forget people's names but this works for me.

lol its kinda the opposite for me...when I play, I never tell people who I really am...and I really don't know why HAHA. But I'll tell them my name is XXXX and when they say hey XXXX I'll forget they are addressing me lol

I think one reason why it may happen to me is because I know that once we part our seperate ways after the round is over, you will more than likely never see me again and you will mean nothing to me. Plus I think I would rather concentrate on playing a great round of golf instead of trying to worry about what the other guys name is. I don't know.

I also write them down ASAP cause I am so bad with names then I dont know who is who. So I write like fat bald one. Will farrel ect...

I do the exact same thing. I write their name and the color of the shirt they are wearing. If they are wearing the same color shirt, I will pick something else. I never forget a face, but I'll forget your name 5 minutes after you tell it to me.
