Hi all,

How long is a score good for with regard to calculating your handicap? Do scores expire? Hypothetically speaking, would a score from 5 years ago count toward your hcp if you hadn't yet accumulated 20 rounds?

Thanks

I am a member of the CDGA. I have 2006 scores in my top 20 and they are still counted.

The USGA system calculates your index based on the best 10 scores out of your 20 most recent scores (less than 10 if you have less than 20 scores posted). It doesn't matter how long ago the scores were posted.

So you play golf 5 or 6 times a year?
