I have Puma shoes, apparently annoying? They fit me best, were Gore-Tex to handle the wet days and have lasted 2 years.
I have a staff bag with my name on it...but my job is to promote equipment, it's not by choice it's my job.
I have a Scotty Cameron putter...again from Achusnet...not by choice they don't have any other putters.
I have a SkyCaddie...best piece of golf equipment I've bought in the last 5 years.
I use hybrids? umm since when are hybrids annoying? almost every player on the tour plays these, and they make the game much easier...

The last one was I have some bright coloured shirts, again supplied by the golf course, not by choice we have to wear certain shirts on certain days.

To me an annoying golfer is someone who refuses to use technology to their advantage and doesn't use hybirds, or is open to using GPS or Rangefinders.

People that think certain brands are "crappy" just because they are Puma or Nike.

The only think on the whole list I find annoying is wearing Jeans...nothing else bothers me one bit and shouldn't bother anyone else imo.

One more edit...how is playing the game for fun annoying? I would say the large majority of golfers play the game for fun and enjoyment and don't care about score, these guys usually also have the most fun on the course.

oh, i thought it was actually the opposite. it's bagging on people who bag on people, albeit subtlety.

i only had 3 checked off, but i have it on good authority that i am much more annoying than that.

How about; "I refuse to let a single play through because there is another group in front of me and they must me a@#holes like me, so they won't let him play through either. So, you see, I am really doing the guy a favor in my opinion and I could not be anymore self-absorbed if I were equal parts water and paper towel." How about adding that one? Not that I am bitter.

I picked about 5, but I also thought this would list the really annoying people, who are out for casual round and think it's the US Open, whine about a squirrel farting or spider barking, shadows, mark 6" putts and line up their ball, etc...

Anyway, what's wrong or annoying about hybrids, a GPS (laser I agree is annoying, most people ask me for yardages off my SG5 - which can get annoying, but I offer), pink shirts, popping or whatever your collar (good idea in Dallas from about May to Oct unless want to get roasted) or high handicapper playing blades (kind of respect it, as long as they don't take forever to hit their shot)?

I play Paula Creamer Bridgestone Lady TOur S3, only the hot pink ones...matches one of my shirts....and looks so cool flying in the air.

Well, I got this habit of telling my fellow golfers "your still hot" every time they run their putt past the hole or when they're so short that it's still their turn to putt. BTW, I play mostly as a single.

i may be wrong, but i think the OP's intentions were to lampoon the recent threads which indicated that "invisibly" was about the only way left to play golf where you wouldn't be annoying someone.

I only checked one...that I play the game for fun.

Only 2 for me, but I sometimes will wear cargo shorts and I'm pretty sure that annoys someone. I also putt out everything and use a black sharpie line to align my putts.

Swear by my Bushnell rangefinder.....that helps the whole 4 some and should not be in the poll.


Using a belly or long putter would be a good replacement for the GPS / Rangefinder I think.

I'm seriously pondering the staff bag and a white belt WITH a giant buckle, to get my points up.
BTW, the poll should have included "18hcp who plays Tour type golf balls". That would have gotten me to 7.

well i got 8, and i have a legit explanation for al of them... first is bright shirts, all i have to say is come on... comeee ooonnnn COOOOMMMEEE OOOOONNNNNNN...lol colors are fun...lol the second is ;arge belt buckles... i just like em, they stand ot and the ladies love em... is there something wrong with that?? third is i do own a scotty, its not in the bag at the moment, and it came from a tour player, and i do know what its worth all thats needed is COA and refinishing... fourth is i wear my sunglasses i the back of my head... idk why really i just like em there and they dont fall off... i seem to have problems with em falling off the front and i play too fast to put em in the bag every time... fifth is puma gear, i just like the stuff got a pair of j lindberg shoes and just cant get rid of them...sixth is nike equipment, i play the blades and since ive played them i have won 7 times including a couple fairly big junior tournamaments... so i would like to annoy the crap out of people and show them how little game they have if it annooys them that much...lol 7th is i play the game for fun... because why else play the game if it isnt fun... and last i use a range finder... for me it helps speed up the pace of play... so there you go, if this is annoying you should come play with me sometime, im a real a$$ hole on the course....hahahahah jk

OP may have gone a bit heavy on the annoying clothing side while missing some better ones such as:

1. uses headcovers on irons

2. plays to claimed handicap index about once per year

3. likes to spend time waiting on next group to hit by bouncing ball up and down off a wedge just like Tiger does on tv
