I have done a tourney for 6 years and it has always been called the JJ Invitational However each year I have had a different slogan:
Hacker Heaven 2007
Fairway to Hell 2008
Da-Mans In the Rough
Etc

This tourney generally has 70 to 80 golfers and we play a 4 person scramble. One thing that is different about this tourney is that is is very friendly to hackers. I would say that for half of the golfers, this tourney is the only time they play all year.

I have a traveling trophy with the past 6 years winners and the trophy is made up of 2 nut cups glued together and painted gold and says "JJ Invitational--where golf nuts feel at home". On the side it has the following "Cause when youre playing with hackers, hookers, and slicers, its best to watch your balls"

It is getting pretty big (Last year I gave away around 1400 in prizes including a trip to vegas for a weekend)

Needing some ideas on a tourney name that will register with the hacks and in the ROUGH riders.

Do you mind saying what city or what part of the country the tourney is held?

We do a skins game called the "Fore Skins"

The tourney is held in sioux falls sd or one of the surrounding citys. It rotates to a different course every year or 2 to keep it fresh.
