Anyone using this bag? What do you think about it? Also, where do you put your putter. I'm guessing in one of the lower slots. I've got an Ogio Ozone that I like, but it feels a little flimsy, so I'm thinking about changing.

I have the green one and love it...very lightweight and love the full dividers. I put my putter at the top usually...doesn't matter to me where it goes. However I do keep my irons/wedges in order. Great Bag and I highly suggest it. A friend of mine thought the Four 5 felt flimsy to him. I think it is just so lightweight it made him feel that way. It has been very durable for me. I walk most of the time and carry my bag. So it's getting a beating and holding up well.

I had this bag (09 black version) for a few months and loved the bag except one big issue for me.

Pros:
Solid construction
It is extremely light for all the storage it has
The 14 way divider was one of the reasons I got the bag
The stand was solid and sturdy when used
Shoulder straps were very comfortable and easy to use

Cons:
14 way divider caused more club chatter and the side slots were a bit tight to get grips in and out of
Bag doesn't fit in the back of many carts due to the base/stand mechanism (my big issue); it fit in some carts okay, but not in most of the newer carts (I ride/walk 50/50)

As you can see, I would have kept the bag if it fit in the back of carts, but in the end, I moved onto a Hoofer vantage. The four5 is still a great bag though.

Love the bag and I put the putter in one of the top slots as well. Great storage for a lightweight bag.

The only complaint that I have is the 14 way top makes it easy to organize but a bit less cramped and sometimes the grips do grab.

I got the Four 5 Carry Stand bag 3 weeks ago. I walked 9 holes 3 times with this bag so far.

Pros:
Light weight
Comfortable straps
Good back support
Plenty of pockets (at least for my necessity)

Cons:
Flimsy compare to my cart bag (this may not be a fair statement)
Does not sit well on cart and must sit sideway (part of the base extends to the side)

Overall, great for walking.

I have the Four 5, and just like the others have said, my only complaint with it is putting it in the cart. It just does not fit well in the newer carts. It is great when you walk, and it is very solidly constructed though.

Great responses. Thanks. That's an interesting point about not fitting in carts very well. Definitely something for me to consider.

I got a Burton ML hybrid stand bag recently. 14 dividers, its got a seperate putter well with retaining clip, enough pockets to carry what you need cauz i believe the bigger the bag the more crap we tend to carry !!! LOL. Maybe i will keep it for the better weather and use my bigger bag for winter when u need to cary wet weather gear and a cover for your bag if the sky's open up during your round.
Dunno if that model is avail over in your neck of the woods but may be something the same. The legs fold in and you can lock them when useing on a cart/buggy.

Hi all, just got this bag and walked with it today. I have to tell you, I was a little hesitant buying a Sun Mountain MPB last year it seemed quite heavy. I was in an accident and totalled my bag and stuff, so I bought the new four 5 this year. This is a great bag! All the pockets are very nice and conveniently placed. The bag is SUPER light and was no problem lagging it around for the day. The stand system seems very stable. Let me know if you have any other questions and I would be happy to try to help.

Thanks
Todd

I have just got this Sun Mountain Four 5 Stand Bag for 2010 and my observations are as follows:
1. Lightweight Bag
2. Probably the only stand bag that I could find with the 14 way full length dividers.
3. Wide and sturdy legs when stretched.

But BEWARE of one thing:
The bag does not and will not stand on its own without the legs beings stretched - I have experienced this with only 14 clubs in it, no accessories or golf balls/umbrella, etc. I need the bag to stand on its own as I need to store the set in my apartment and I cannot have the legs extended all the time, besides if I have the legs extended all the time - legs may give way after sometime or may even do a split.
Spoke to the Customer Service of Sun Mountain and they acknowledge the fact that the bag would not stand on its own if loaded with 14 clubs but does stand on its own with 8 clubs in it.

I've never had an issue with putting mine in the cart. I guess some people are bothered by turning it a few degrees. I'm not one of those people....

I use Sharpro (like GP NDMC) grips that are midsized. Clubs RARELY grab when pulling them out.

Putter in the bottom middle slot, wedges to each side. Here's a few pics:

Overall, the best bag out there IMO. Light, full of features, and it looks awesome as well. A+ in my book.

The Four 5 is a great bag in my opinion. The only issue I've had so far are the legs not extending that well in semi rough, but then that's my fault for hitting it there in the first place. I rarely if ever use carts so the fact it doesn't fit that well on the back of one is not an issue at all.

Here are some (admittedly not brilliant) pics of my granite/black/red version, which looks way better in person that on the website.
