The wife and I are in Myrtle Beach for the week. While driving in, I noticed a bunch of golf stores. Are any worth stopping in? I am not really in the club purchase mode, but:
1. You never know - that is what club ho's do;
2. I love a deal;
3. I want to pick up some nice golf shirts.

Thanks

Tomorrow (I will post my Pine Needles review - nice detour on the way)

I was in Myrtle last month, and Martins had some great deals in the used club racks. Real good prices on drivers, and some great deals on shoes too.

MARTINS!!! It is like the dollhouse but for golf clubs and anything involving golf. They have everything you could imagine and at least 10 hitting bays, over 100 demo clubs, the biggest indoor putting green i have ever seen, the shoe department the size of nordstroms, the biggest clothes department including JL and all the other big and small brands. Just go and you wont be disappointed!!!

+1 for Martins. I like the one in North Myrtle better, but the one near Broadway is also great. These stores are far better then Discount Golf.

No doubt - martins is the place. I spend hours in there every time I go to MB.

I will have to show my dad this thread. Whenever we go to Myrtle he never understands how I manage to spend 2 hours in Martins (and that is when i rush through)

Yes, always have to go by Martins every time I'm in MB. I usually go to the one near Broadway because it is closer to where I stay.

Martin's is the mainstay for sure. However, Golf Dimensions has some good deals as well. Between Martin's and Golf Dimensions I don't know how I squeeze in golf when I'm in Myrtle Beach!

Ever notice that when you walk into Martin's the Angel's are singing! yahoo.gif

Martins and golf dimensions, two best stores in the area.

Thanks for the hookup at Martin's. If I was in the market for some new G4's, they would be perfect.

Myrtle is one crazy place.
1. The Restaurants. They have every chain restaurant known to man. Furthermore, they have a crazy "Pancake" Fetish hat is amazing, but is eclipsed by the enormous, cheesy Crab/Seafood buffets. Indeed, they have buffets for everything. Somehow, the chain restaurants seem to have killed off the good, local restaurants.
2. How many miniature golf courses does one place need?
3. There are golf courses everywhere. Some of them are so close together (and have signs on the road) that it is like they are side by side McDonalds and Burger Kings.
