Full Version: So is Adidas that bad of a shoe, or is the golf buisness this slow?

So everytime I open my email, I am finding another promotion where for $79- $109 come visit our resort for a round of golf, lunch, cart with GPS, and a free pair of Adidas shoes. What the hell?

Obviously they are low grade shoes, right? Or is the golf industry at resorts doing this poorly?

Amazing!

Adidas has shoes for all different price points. I'm guessing this has more to do with alot of extra inventory needing to be unloaded.

It seems that Adidas made a boo boo with their ordering on the older powerband sports. Those things have been popping up as promo deals all over the place. Good shoe, but I think as the weekend warrior types are giving up the game the market has not been there as much for a tennis style shoe that goes well with cargo shorts, a t-shirt, and beer.

There definitely low grade shoes. They'll never amount to much as a company.

Kal, Kal, Kal. I knew I'd get one guy who was pretty daft. Let me make it a bit simpler for you. The shoe that they are giving away in the promotion is going to be a low grade shoe.

Kal, if you look around and can't piont out the moron, you are it.

To all others, sorry to lash out, but it's been a crappy day, and I'm getting tired of dealing with stupid...

Adidas runs TM....wonder why they have a similar marketing strategy

I'm going to have to "piont" out that there are many of us who get tired of dealing with stupid. You're obviously a very dedicated and passionate golfer. You wouldn't be on this site if you weren't. You just told me that the shoe there are giving away is low grade but yet made a post in which you inquired as to whether or not the shoe was, in fact, low grade. I'm sure you were hoping that numerous people would reply in your favor. Otherwise, why even bring it up? Everyone is struggling. You, me and the next guy. Maybe we're both having crappy days, I don't know. What I do know is, just as you're tired of dealing with "stupid", I'm tired of reading rhetorical posts.

Not necessarily. My guess is that you're either referring to the original Powerband's or the Powerband Sports...both great offerings, just not the newest model.

Let's face it, the struggling economy is taking a toll on the golf industry as well. Any time we as the consumer see the word 'FREE' they're likely to jump on the deal.

Likely these resorts picked up these older models on a closeout and are trying to spark some additional interest.

Kal, as I would suspect, you have made a terrific "piont"

Thanks, I'm a little grumpy because the Celtics lost, but I appreciate the acknowledgment.

Get used to it; without KG the Celtics are not going too far.

And a grumpy sports loss really doesn't excuse the grammar police coming out. Ironically, you jump on someone over 'piont' when your post starting it all misused 'there'.

Really? It seems pretty legit to me. Why don't you go ahead and let us all know what the proper spelling is in terms of the context of the sentence THERE, big house.

Yes, really. I'm beginning to wonder if you are just goofing or if you really are that illiterate. I'll humor you.

"There definitely low grade shoes" should be "They are definitely low grade shoes" or you could get away with "They're definitely low grade shoes". You could even get away with providing a photo of the shoes and writing "There! Definitely low grade shoes!" although that leaves something to be desired too.

Normally I don't play grammar police; it's very irritating to see others do it. But considering the alternative for your account, this will do. For your own good, drop the nonsense and try sticking to the topic.

How do I get in on some of these offers?
yoonie
Kal, quiet, the adults are trying to have a conversation.

Like steve said, where can I get in on these deals?
Gawfman123
Steve strike, where do you live? I have found the offer at a ton of courses in the Scottsdale area, and some in the northwest. I shouldn't have deleted my email. If you would like I would be more than happy to forward them to you.

Well if they are resort courses that's probably why I don't get them. Not many resorts here in Houston!
