hahahaha
All Square thru 2.
Guess there is two tournies going on today, cause neither Tiger nor Phil is in it.

Steve Flesch is at -6 now...keep an eye on it
yeah i hope they show more than just tiger and phil before the leaders come on. This pairing could actually be bad for TV overall

phil birdie 3rd. -6. go phil. how sweet would that be to win the masters while paired with tiger.

And the sound from Phil and Tiger's iron shots on that par 3, wow.

I feel sorry for whoever wins this because when they get the DVD highlights they will have about 10mins airtime from R4 of themselves as the rest will be the Tiger v Phil matchplay special....

The problem with trying to make up so much ground at Augusta, with some of the Sunday pins, is your margin of error is nil, yet you must force yourself to keep your foot on the pedal....and eventually the course grabs you. Why do you think the stat of practically every winner coming from the final group is there for all to see? It's not a coincidence.

true, but at least phil is playing well right now. he's looking at another decent birdie opportunity. tiger, on the other hand, is not worth the air time right now.

I've always in previous years recently, enjoyed watching the first page of the leaderboard start their day teeing it up on #1, checking their nervous state. I guess because they are following these two, we'll only get the final group....how terribly sad. TV is no longer for fans of golf.....but fans of hype. Might as well be Entertainment Tonight. At least I could stare at Mary Hart's legs. LOL

If anyone makes serious noise, it will be Phil, for he has the go for broke mentality that is necessary. Tiger in the last few years plays Augusta like someone with a bit too much respect for the difficulty of the course.

What pressure? they got no choice but to aim at flags and go low. despite what the anouncers are saying, they are not playing each other, they are still chasing KP and Cabrera.
It is fun to watch the side game though.
Nice start for the leaders there.

are you softening your stance a bit Smitty? Yesterday you were a tough sell that both of these guys weren't done
as i write this Phil now within 3 of the lead. Still wouldn't pick him. But you gotta admit -4 wasn't out of it

Not really softening Jeff. I still think -4 needs a LOT of help from those above. As I mentioned above, you just can't keep your foot down around here and get away with it all day long.

You very well could be right. I think if Phil can get tied by Amen Corner, he has a shot. I think it would be difficult to
have to play aggressively through that stretch.
