Dear Tiger
Lately you seem to be really annoyed at press conferences and after the round interviews. Yea I know the questions are stupid and you are probably the greatest golfer ever, but geez try to have some fun. Lighten up a bit, answer the stupid questions, its only a few minutes out of your day. I know I know your busy, you like your privacy, I cannot blame you, but really you are starting to come off as a spoiled kid at best. Its just golf, Tiger.
Thanks

I sincerely hope that was a joke. Maybe he should lighten up, but he's got better things to do, like hit the range. It is not as you say
just golf, it's his life, his being, his purpose. He clearly just wants to get to the range, and
is annoyed with having to do the press conference.

Not everyone is blessed with the temperament of arnold palmer. Yes, I said blessed- it's as much of a talent as knocking down pins. Despite what you'd like to think, I seriously doubt you could muster both the competitive fire to motivate yourself the way Tiger does, AND the benevolence and patience to put up with an incessant media assault. Tiger can't, so he chooses to be good at his job.
As for myself, Tiger has EARNED my respect with his dedication to excellence. He doesn't owe me anything. It's not like I helped him out, gave him a few swing tips, then dropped him off at Augusta when his car broke down. Just like everyone else, I watched as he did the impossible every week- feats he accomplished as a product of his OWN hard work and his OWN dedication, and I'm very, very grateful that I've had the opportunity to watch him play, if only on TV. I think I put 3 or 4 bucks in his pocket when I bought my nike sp-8s. In return, he's given me endless captivating and unforgettable moments.
Could he be a better man? Yes. Could all of you (and me)? Hell yes.

Tiger just made a bogey coming off the 18th on a day where he could've put up a 67-68. He was hot because he is close to being out of contention. The leaderboard has some really good players that are not likely to fold. The weather forecast is for 2 more fine days, so the scoring should be good. So for him to be positioned 7 shots back, he's gonna have to take it sleazy low tomorrow and Sunday. When you consider this, and the fact that majors are what define his career, he's going to be a little grumpy. I don't think it says much about his character other than that he had a rough day on the job.

Tiger's goal is to beat Jack's record, not to be the most popular or grow the game like Arnie did. Regardless, he did grow the game after his first masters victory and has made more money for the rest of the tour just being the way he is, just like Arnie. Tiger never spit in the hole like Sergio or displayed the gamesmanship of Seve. Also he comes to every tournament prepared to win and doesn't tank like Phil last week at Shell. Appreciate him while you can haters, just like all those who hated "Fat Jack". Some day there will be bigger brats out there than tiger with half his talent and we will all be wishing for the days of tiger again.

Coming from a Phil fan, I have found that lately his responses to questions have been to positive. Everything he says these days has some positive spin on what went wrong that day. How many times have we heard, "I didn't execute shots today, but... I'd almost like to see him get angry sometimes. I think we saw that today a little on the back nine when he stopped thinking and just hit the ball as hard as he could. Get angry. Get pissed off. And go win the tournament.
The only thing I'd like to see from tiger is have him sign a few autographs after his rounds. I feel like he does a descent job during press conferences (often getting some laughs) and I feel like he's been divulging more info than he usually does, especially since his recent surgery. If he wants to spit on the course, fine. Maybe he can try to keep it off the greens.
