Full Version: Shingo's Asics golf shoes
Anyone know where you might buy Shingo Katayama's new Asics golf shoes he is wearing at Augusta?
Was wondering the same thing. Google didn't turn up much.
those things look like they have about 3" heels!
HOLY CRAP....those were easily the ugliest shoes I've ever seen. They looked like a pair of orthopedic running shoes. 
They aren't available in the US, only in Asia
I think tourspecgolf.com might be able to get them. You should send them a message. Shingo's apparel are all mad JDM! OnOff cowboy hat and Dance with Dragon outfit FTW!

Got some bad news.
I spoke to Asics here in Japan and there is no scheduled release for Shingo's Asics in the near term.
The shoes he was wearing at the Masters were prototypes only.
I do not think they were expecting this much fanfare and attention.
Hopefully this attention they have received will speed up their move for these shoes to go retail but from the sound of what they are saying it will not be for quite some time.

His Monday and Tuesday shoes looked great....I was looking for the them this weekend...too bad they won't be available.

what, unexpected. considering that IMO there is no better shoe made than asic i can only assume that they have never heard of GolfWRX

A friend of mine is an Asics shoe rep and he told me he has a pair of the black and a pair of the white coming soon. Asics is releasing in Japan first. Asics wants to sell the shoes through Dicks sporting goods or golf galaxy. When he gets them in I will post some pictures
They looked pretty good in person. I think they look better than Puma's. I'll probably get a pair when available.
Will certainly buy if they are anything like the rest of their shoes!

I suspect that if they are being sold in the US that they will be available in larger sizes.
