Another one of my all time favorites. I believe he's going to put this one away. Leadign by 1 after 7 holes.

GO FRED! partytime2.gif

I hope so.....I followed him a lot yesterday at the Shell, he is very long. He played his early round with Mark Turnesa and was blowing by him all morning.

Taking it to the young guys............

Why is he so slow

OMG you just started a thread about it!

If not just wait 10 seconds because Dan freaking Hicks will tell you ....... for the 1,000th time

This guy just kills a golf broadcast .... btw, Greg Norman is 54 if you didnt hear that 1,000x

I am going to make a golf course that has all the greens tilted in the opposite direction from Indio

meh, NBC has Johnny Miller who's the best announcer ever. Not every team can be the '85 Oilers

Dan Hicks and Jimmy Roberts have already irked me so much that I've switched to watching the LPGA golf instead. Only to hear the dulcet tones of Verne Lundquist and his habitual 'Goodness...!' line within 30 seconds - plus him habitually mispronouncing the names of several players, despite presumably knowing full well how to pronounce them properly.

I'm just double-checking no-one's underneath the window where they could be injured when I hurl the TV through it.

5-11 is nothing to write home about.

if this tournament goes into a playoff, JB will have waited like 3 hours in between shots. Which is about normal for him

Freddie choking like a dog per usual...its either gonna be Casey winning or a playoff with Holmes
tommyjewell-1994
good luck with that.

Hey I just heard Freddy is 49 and he has a bad back.
mat562
I just heard that that Woods lad has had a bit of gip with his knee.

He had to have an operation on it, no less.

Dan hicks didn't just say that, so it must not be true.
mat562
It heard it via Rich Lerner.

Just hearing about it had me on the edge of my seat and, by the end of the story, I had tears in my eyes and had to have a stiff drink to calm my nerves, so dramatic was the tale and so eloquent was the narration of it. Truly, it was a moving experience like few others. The bloke deserves some sort of award, quite frankly. Lerner I mean; not Woods. That or his own current affairs programme during prime time. He's wasted on golf coverage. He's a broadcasting giant, with an ability to make the everyday dramatic and to state the bleeding obvious like few before him.

"Speed it up Sergio" so to speak!

Funny, with the Masters round the corner, I wonder how long it will be before some commentator mentions "how quick the greens are". We had no idea........ russian_roulette.gif

Dan Hicks russian_roulette.gif

Good thing we are off to the Masters. Boob Clampett is gone for the most part. Only Ian Baker Duck Hook saying ' Ben Hogan said if he hit it left of the flag on 11 .. he pulled it ' ... I mute it everytime someone is on 11.

Good thing Casey won this ... didn't want to see another annoying spank win at Augusta

Goosen
Els
Philly

and of course, you know who ... are the front runners

These early predictions normally result in the guy dropping out and ending up somewhere other than first. I would love to see Freddie win, but it is never over, till its over.

I like JB Holmes, but man, I could never play golf with him... he makes the old Sergio look fast and smooth!

longballjs
OK, i am one of the miller fans - but can he please shut up about jon senden taking his time. yes he should move, but he is also out there for himself - dont ever alter your game for someone else!
MtlJeff
does anyone else have the feeling that if JB holmes wins this, there's going to be like a 4 page thread about how good he is "really", immediately following the tournament?

Whomever merged these threads did a terrible job. Now half the posts don't make sense.

It's time for Freddie to get a haircut, same old style but mostly gray looks tired. Buzz it Fred! Corey Pavin looks better today than he did ten years ago.

What's this have to do with anything? Nothing, really.

JB's preshot routine is so painful to watch....it makes me want to drink a cup of acid.

As far as he hits it, that was a pretty bad drive on the first playoff hole. Looked to me like he swung too hard. It never had a chance! Oh well, I think Casey was more deserving anyways.
MtlJeff
Nice to see Casey's first win on american soil. When he plays well you wonder why he isn't 4th or 5th in the world. Time for that major now!
Sneadjr59
Well done Casey! 1st Pga tour victory and now he is ready to the Masters! clapping.gif
