What do you know about Alpharetta Athletic Club? What sort of initiation? Course quality? Memebership (old/young/friendly)? If I was looking for a club in the Alpharetta area, would you recommend this club? Are there other clubs in the area you would recommend?

I can't tell you much about Alpharetta Athletic Club, but when I lived in Alpharetta back 7-8 years ago, White Columns was one of my favorite courses in the area, and you might also look into the Golf Club of Georgia.

+1 for the Golf Club of Georgia. They have 36 holes and last year they had a great deal on membership. The course is always in great condition.

I have heard really rough things about Alpharetta Athletic Club - lots of play, short, questionable condition.....

Played in the big I years ago when i was in jr golf at white columns and it is top notch. very nice area and nice people from what i remember. i know you didnt ask about this course but thought i would just throw this out there for you.
