Maybe we knew this was inevitably going to happen sooner or later; but it was announced today that Memphis' PGA Tour event has been Renamed for 2009.

The TPC Southwind is a great course and a very tough one at that and a good tune up for the US Open the following week. The field has been getting stronger here at Memphis each year for the past several years. Do you think it will affect the quality of the field that comes to the event this year? Any thought?

You are right, the field has been improving the past several years and I think players enjoy playing TPC Southwind. I always enjoy attending this tourney. I do not think that the lack of Stanford signage will negatively affect the tournament as a whole. Hopefully this year will be good as usual.
