Hi Guys,
I am currently in the market for a new Pencil Bag/Sunday Bag. I have recently joined a course where it is quite possible to pop out and play 18 holes in 2 1/2 Hours and therefore easy to have a nice light bag. I currently have a Nike stand bag and Nike clubs so a Nike Pencil bag would be nice but I am happy to go with whatever is recommended. I have seen both the Titleist and the Ping in the flesh but not the NIke.
Any comments from anyone with experience of these bags would be good, both negative and positive.
Thanks
Drakey

I had one of those bags and din't care for it that much. It was very light, but the stand was a pain because it was so low to the ground. The lack of pockets was also an issue. I ended up pitching it and buying a Sun Mountain Mini, which is a great little bag.

I have a Titleist sunday bag and it is nice. I would actually vote for the Ping bag because the stand-up strap makes it MUCH less tiring to pick up (and you will be picking a pencil bag up off the ground many, many times during a round). I don't like Ping so I won't buy their bag but I know a better design when I see it.

the new cally pencil is really nice... light weight... simple and has stand/legs... it would be choice... its nicer and alot cheaper (cost wise) then the sun mountain...

I would vote for the mizuno scratch sack because it is completely waterproof. This is a key factor because when you put a sunday bag on the ground when its wet it can soak through and get your grips and shafts wet.

try Vroom Sports. I think the link is vroomsports.com but u can google em. they sell a 2.5 lb bag, tube type, plenty of room for 14 clubs with a stand. I paid $26. for mine and I think I got it online.. If not .. look at ebay stand bags, vroom. great piece of equipment for what you want to acco.

There was a post last week about a Seaforth slicker full bag rain cover. Do a search on Seaforth and it should come up.

what about the titleist ultralight. It is somewhere in between a full stand bag and a pencil bag. I've done the sunday bag thing and laying them down all the time is a big pain. I would recommend taking your current stand bag out for a round but lay it down instead of using the stand, to see what it is all about.
