i "disguise" my clubs by using all generic headcovers. imho the brightly colored ones supplied by the OEMs may attract the wrong kind of element. :-)

is it just me, or do any of you other folks do this as well?

I use OEM covers, generic covers, whatever. I'll have to say that I mix it up a bit. I'm so paranoid of my clubs being stolen the only time they leave my sight is when I put them in the Trunk.

I only use generic but they arent really that generic. I have a Pitt Panther, a Steelers helmet, Rocket and Neoprene covers

I've use Knit covers from time to time. (Need some new ones) But typically I have 3 Penn State covers for my woods. When I'm using the Knit covers, I make sure to put my GIANT Nittany Lion Driver cover over my umbrella. Always gets a good reaction living in Columbus!

Marvin the dog and one of a dozen or so old Ping covers, in whatever colour tickles my fancy, do the honours for me.

We don't particularly have a problem with thievery where I play (albeit I had a headcover nicked a couple or three years ago) but most of the OEM jobs are hideous to my eye - and I thus prefer an old school, plain look. And Marvin is a permanent fixture - at least until Daphnes produce a GSD headcover that looks like a GSD and not a de-spiked hedgehog.

Note to Daphnes: GSDs have BLACK muzzles. Not beige. Sort it out.

LOL . . . I'm sure it goes over as well as my Ohio State gear where I live in Central PA smile.gif.

Knit pom pom covers for me. Firstly, I am anal about the colour scheme of my bag (it's got to be red, black and white). Truly sad, I know. Secondly, old pom headcovers draw much less attention that garish new OEM ones. Anything to minimise the risk of my clubs getting nicked.

anything that actually protects the shaft! I hate those pointless covers that dont have socks... what a waste

I'm with Avatar...plain and generic...
don't want to tempt anyone.

I use the OEM covers.....hey, they're what comes with the club.....

I use OEM headcovers on my woods and hybrids. If I had a Cameron or a Bettinadi putter, I probably would use a plain headcover to lessen the chances of someone seeing it and stealing my $300 putter.

I use generic covers on everything and keep the oem covers in a box.

Most of my oem are still in plastic.

Similar story here - albeit mine are on duty stuck on the respective clubs in the cupboard.

If anyone's after a Tour Silver or Flex Twist or Burner Bubble headcover in decent order I'm open to reasonable offers. wink.gif
