I am planning a trip to see Dave Mathews Band in Pittsburgh in June at the Post Gazette Pavilion, it will always be Starlake to me! We are going to stay the night and golf the next morning. Anyone know of a nice course near there or near the turnpike back to WV?

Sweet!! I have tickets to Charlottesville show already and am looking to get the Pittsburgh one in as well! I live in the area and have to say that Quicksilver is the nicest in the area, although its the other direction from the pavilion ( back towards PIT airport) it isnt too far out of the way. The other I know of that is close would probably be Ponderosa, not as nice as Quicksilver but is respectable both are tough in their own way, Quicksilver used to hold Nationwide and Champions events so it is the harder. Check them out, I would def recommend Quicksilver tho.

Thanks Ben!
Yeah I have seen Dave about 13-14 times. Never gets old! Saw him last year at Slugger Field in Louisville, KY, great show and they did Burning Down the House cover song, GREAT!

Hey fellow WVU fan! There is a course about 35 miles up 79 in Ellwood City called Olde Stonewall. Ive played there and it is a great course! The only drawback is that it's very expensive. If budget isnt an issue, check it out.

Not to far Northeast of Pittsburgh is Birdsfoot GC. Very nice course. I played it back in September. Definiately worth playing, there really isnt all that many public courses around Pittsburgh...I believe it as $59 with a cart on a Sunday.
here are the pics of the course:

Cranberry Highlands is nice, but I would suggest playing Highland CC it is a great course with almost impossible greens.
