Anyone know where I can download some cheesy golf music? I kinda like it, and maybe i'll play/practice better if I can listen to it on the range.

I forget the name of it but Peter Jacobsen had a cheesy funny CD about 6 years ago? that I use to listen to, it was funny too.

I'm still trying to find a song that was played a while back at one of the tourneys, may have been the US open in a little clip of all the pros messing up lyrics were like
Straight down the middle,
Grass was never greener
Sky was never clearer

Or something like that
Anyone know?

Jake Trout and the Flounders

Covers of a lot of pop tunes with the lyrics all golfed up. It's pretty funny....we play it in the store sometimes......

Oh man you are killing me. I know exactly what you are talking about... early to mid 90's. Wasn't it when Pavin won the US open?

I hate to date myself but "straight down the middle" was a Bing Crosby song. Most cheesy...

I still have that tape around somewhere. I should put on a disc. I understand those tapes are hard to find.

If I'm correct you are speaking of theme songs associated with golf. I am still searching for a few but I do know some.

The Masters: "Augusta" by Dave Loggins

Click on the link in the yellow box halfway down the page, you can listen or burn onto a CD.

US Open: "In Celebration of Man" by Yanni
Never released, and I am trying to somehow someway find it.

CBS Tourneys: "Fanfare" by Yanni
See above.

If anyone knows where to find the Yanni themes let me know, I have been searching forever and cannot get them. I am stuck using TiVo and listening to the US Open theme.

So, I went to go grab the "Jake...." cd to post some song titles here......didn't find it (we mostly play Hawaiian music in the shop). But I did find a cd that I don't remember at all.

"It's the Game of Golf" by Ken Westby. I'll have to give it a listen again to remember it, but titles (all original songs) include:

Scottish Game
You're the Only One to Blame
Golf in the Northwest
Ode to a Golf Pro
