Just bought a OGIO Synchro Cart Bag 09 model, sweet bag, silver, blue and lime. I have always been a Ping Hoofer kind of guy in fact the only bags I have ever owned. Just wondering are cart bags for the older folk? Not trying to offend, just curious. I wont take the tags off because I may return, I just don't feel right with it in the cart. I ride 95% of the time so this style of bag makes sense, however why the hell does one need so many pockets, pouches, club holes, etc...

I know how you feel.
I'm 20 and I use a Ping Pioneer Cart bag almost exclusively. It is nice having everything in your bag, and around here other than a few muni's it's really very unpractical to walk, courses are just too spread out, I still have a few stand bags, but heck if I'm going to be riding I may as well take advantage of that. Gives you a better workout from the car to the cart as well :p

I guess I don't carry enough crap with me because I never even come close to filling up all the pockets on any of my bags, even my Hoofer. I can't imagine what people fill theirs up with, mine is about half full and most of the stuff I never even get out but I feell like it needs to be there just in case. I think the main benefit of a cart bag is the larger top and better organization than the lightweight carry bags.

My stand bag was too inaccessible and unstable when loaded on a cart. I picked up a TM MAG F1 cart bag in black on closeout from rockbottomgolf.com. Not my style, really, but the black color minimizes the flashiness, and the bag suits the purpose. The more I use it, the more I like it. A lot of capacity is available in the spandex-expandible side pockets without the bag looking swollen. My injured leg forces me to ride, anyway. The stand bag gets used at the range.

Ya you can fill them up pretty quickly if you try :p

Most of my pockets are semi empty so they don't bulge up too much.

But,
Bags rain hood, jacket (when overcast) - Main Right pocket
plenty of balls (thats probably the biggest difference for me, is I tend to carry extra balls), plenty of T's etc, (Middle Lower Pockets)
gloves - Smaller right pocket
mine has an insulated pocket (Lower left) in it for stuff, I generally keep my camelback reservoir in there (a must for the summer here), granola bars and the like for out on the course (Upper left pocket)
wallet, phone etc... In the sealed padded pocket

I use a bag boy push cart and neither my staff bag or carry bag fit on it worth a darn. I'm in the market for a cart bag.......I've heard good things about Ogio...

As far as the pockets go, I can always find something to put in there!!!

Ogio tends to make good bags.

Im really liking my Pioneer though.

Look no further than the Sun Mountain C130.

+1 on the Pioneer. The C130 looks sweet though. I just wish my irons wouldn't swing toward the front of the Pioneer while in the cart. And I prefer the dividers to go all the way to the bottom for each club.
