I just got 5-1 on tiger to win - which I think is very good. I remember when he was dominating it was basically even - so I just wacked a load on him to win!
anyone else betting on tiger, and what odds?

I'm gonna throw something small on him. I got 4:1. I'm also gonna take Ogilvy, Stnson and Kim. What do you think?

a friend and I are having a side bet - 3 players, no tiger - I went Casey, Kim & Ogilvy - He went Stenson, Mcllroy and Baddeley. So I hope your picks work out (for me) - and Tiger wins

I'm not going down this road. Next thing you know he's beating someone 9&8 or he misses a putt and loses 1 up. I have a bad track record with stuff like that!

I'm amazed at 5-1 for the win.
Even after 8 months away from the game I naturally assumed that the bookies would be offering odds on a Woods win that are shorter than Telly Savalas' remaining hair.
I might nip out and put a tenner on if that 5-1's available over here.

exactly - I did it online, did one where you get an extra free bet - so placed a total of £50 at 5-1, so far looking good

It will be interesting to see what the rollover price (round by round multiplied out) looks like, compared to the fixed odds price of 5-1. I've got to believe the 5-1 would be superior.
The 5-1 was a compromise price. You know darn well he has to be favored but coming off the long layoff and with some uncertainty, typical Tiger odds in the 2/1 range or less would have been out of bounds. It's somewhat like an over/under when a very low scoring team plays a very high scoring team. The oddsmakers are confused so they stick the over/under in the middle. It can be a supreme bargain if you get a good feeling for which style the game will tilt, toward the high or low. Same thing with Tiger. If he's up to form and wins, obviously the 5/1 was a gift, something that will be talked about for years in betting circles.

I bet 10 guys this week all $10 each.
Didn't bet on Tiger he was paying 6:1 and i figured I wouldn't waste a pick on him.
8/10 guys survived day 1. Couldn't of asked for much more in my opinion,
this was my bet:
1. Poulter 67:1
2. Dustin Johnson 61:1
3. Camillo 31:1
4. Ogilvy 23:1
5. Donald 36:1
6. McIlroy 51:1
7. Ames 111:1
8. Love III 61:1
9. Harrington 31:1
10. Westwood 36:1
