I found the 2008 Powerbands to look good but be very hard. I did not find that the Powerbands ever felt broken in. I have some Contours that are very comfortable, but do not have the same support as other shoes. I'm back to the FJ Dryjoys. If you shop around they can be found for not that much more than the Contours. I actually just received a new pair of Powerbands that Adidas replaced under warranty (very good customer service), but I exchanged them for a $100 credit on another pair of Dryjoys.

I've not worn the Powerband, keep that in mind. I do, however, own three pair of Contours. I find them comfy, right from the beginning, they support my foot well, maintain their waterproof status (and I play a LOT early in the morning when the dew is thick). I'm a fan, best FJ I've ever owned.

That's strange, because I found the Powerbands to be very comfortable and broken in. I've always wore a tennis shoe type golf shoe, because they were more comfortable to me. I just bought the powerbands last year, and the first time I wore them, I knew I made the right choice.

Powerbands are more comfortable and it isn't even debatable. Footjoy builds their shoes on a dress shoe last while the Powerbands are built on their athletic shoe last.
Contours aren't nearly as stylish either, but if you are 50 years old...go nuts.

I have always worn footjoys, love them. Have a pair of reelfits at the moment which are my all time favorite shoe. Recently managed to pick up a pair of the Powerband at a silly price due to the new model coming out. First impressions are good, very comfy nice and light and will be perfect for the summer.

Have you thought about the FJ LoPros? Pretty cool look and you can customize them.

Contours for me thanks. But that's because the shape of the shoe fits my foot, and I walk 10 times for every time I ride.
Very comfortable shoe for me, right out of the box.
As for stylish, classic is always in style.
