I just read that Thursday tix were available so I ordered two and hope to give one to dad for father's day.

Anyone going? where is a good & cheap place to stay for 2 nights? I'd camp out but dad's not a camper.

garden city hotel is cheap

Heck, have the best of both worlds. Stay in mid-town Manhattan and enjoy all the City has to offer, and take the Long Island RR to Bethpage. There's a stop practically across the street from the Park and last time they had shuttle service, so assume they'll do the same again. Only like a 40 minute train ride and you won't have the hassle of driving and parking and taking a shuttle anyway.
