i will be playing in palm springs at the stadium and nicklaus tournament courses with some people who might be able to help me out with some travel money this year. i want to get the yardage books for the 2 courses but cant find them anywhere. the georgwe lucas site no longer offers the books and the only other site doesnt have them. if anyone has them and could at least copy the pages for me so i can put them into a new book i would be forever grateful.

Hey Mook, I've got one for the Nicklaus course but I can't get my scanner to boot up. Try calling1-800-PGAWEST or go online at
www.pgawest.com.

For future reference, TPK Leather no longer sells George Lucas Yardage Books as George Lucas was bought out by another company. The guy at TPK leather gave me an email address to the new company who sells the books, jim@stracka.com

Not to thread jack but has anyone ever used a yardage book to 'enhance' the TV coverage? I tried this for the SBS at Turtle Bay and acually liked it. Gave me a nice idea of where they were hitting to/from as well as what yardages they needed to worry about. Now I think I'm going to try and 'collect' a book from most of the tour stops....I'm up to one so far. I did check out the straka link and that looks promising but I think I would rather get the general course book that the sell at the pro shop (usually for a lot less than the $18 straka is looking to get).

That would be interesting, is there a Lucas book for Augusta National I would love to see the topography for those greens, and what kind of notes he would have. I wish someone would take the time to do books like those for all the decent courses up here in SK, but lord knows that will never happen, there are a few that have yardage books for sale, but they are pretty lacking when it comes to info.
