Considering the aching economy, does anyone know of any great membership deals being offered in and around the Chicago-land area?

Thanks.
Jerjoe

Turnberry in Crystal Lake ( Lakewood ) has a "semi-private" deal going now.
Pay $800.00 to join for use of facilities & tee times but you still are charged green fees.

Well...

Theres alot of private courses in barrington but they are probaly expensive,

and then theres bull valley country club

check around and plz post if you find a good deal

Bull Valley is widely considered the toughest private course around chicago.

Kemper was $625 a month last year, but remember the big initiation fee that you have to pay and you would get 75% back when you leave. Initiation fee is probably around $50,000.

Hawthorn Woods I believe has about a $30,000 initiation fee but that would probably drop a little if anything. But I know they have been giving a lot of incentives to join. Just remember that Hawthorn Woods is a family club and the only time the golf course is going to play hard is right after the illinois open.

But most private clubs that have recently opened like Hawthorn Woods and Kemper don't have the minimum food and beverage that aome of the older well established clubs do.

I am looking for something like that as well, ideally a little closer to downtown.

Great topic by the way, nice to see a few Chicago golfers on the board drinks.gif
