Looks like A Kim found it hard going in the first round of the Malaysian open after shooting a 6 over par.
Which leaves him 16 shots behind.
shame was looking forward to see him on Tv but no hope now.
maybe it was playing with the Malaysian King in the practice round.
Lets hope he makes the cut.

+6 isn't a entirely fair reflection of how he played. He hit 15 greens which is respectable and took an amazing 39 putts which is horrific. He seemed fairly upbeat still though.

In the post round interview he mentioned that the greens were super slow...really threw him off.

Yeah.. I loved the "Its unfortunate i putted like Ray Charles today" comment.
I thought his attitude about the round and tomorrow was great though.

Sounds like something I do every now and then when I get on greens I'm not familiar with. 39 putts for one of the better players in the world isn't great even if he was putting on sand.

What a bounce back secound round and he shoots a 65 to leave him -1 par,the cut is at -2 at the moment but it might go lower.
Great round.

He does have a great attitude, I have yet to see him throw a fit or curse.

Looks like he will make the cut "just".
From T145 to T55,this makes him 12 shots of the lead, and i still bet he will be in contention on the final day.
As you say floyd what a great attitude he has.
Leaving in England i have not been able to see much of him until the Ryder Cup and he really surpast any douts about the next Tiger beater.

Looks like he'll have to shoot in the 50's to even have a chance at winning this baby

the "Booth" said that anything that all grass that grows in that part of the world- broad leaf, super tuff, and grows very fast.
The Grain is on steriods...
Up Hill into the grain- Super Slow,
Downhill with the grain- faster.
Play in the after noon- even slower, cause the green have grown.
I like the Lads spirit, and his desire to play all over the world . Nice 65 for Mr.Kim Today !

You won't see much zip in the balls that land on the green like they do in US when you play in this part of the world.
Can barely get a 10 on the stimp on any South East Asian golf courses.
Plus, an 18 hole rd is akin to doing a 10 mile jog as the heat and humidity zaps all the energy out of you.
