I have used a SpeedCart for several years. At first I put my Hoofer on it, but then bought a SpeedCart Bag. Seemed to be an ideal fit, but the weight is just too much. I am looking to buy a lightweight bag, in the 3.5 to 4.5 lb range. The Titleist and SM bags are great but the stand mechanism foot prevents the bag from sitting on it in a vertical fashion. You have to set it on sideways, so to speak. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I hope you get some good responses to your question. I have been looking for the same thing for years. The bags that work well with the Speedcart are too heavy or not equiped to be carried or carry bags don't fit on the Speedcart. There has to be a solution to this problem. I just haven't found it yet, either.

There is a Ping bag that feels about 4 pounds that is flatter on the bottom than the Hoofer. It looks like it would work but would like to hear if anyone has tried it or have other suggestions.

I walk during the week and ride on the weekends and I use the Ping Discover bag. The layout allows you to use it when you ride and then rearrange the clubs for a speedcart. It is a little heavy for the speedcart but works great.

I have the Sunmountain C-130, never used a carry bag but, I know that a lot of people in your situation use a crossover bag; Sunmountain has the MPB for that very purpose.

You should check out the Datrek Hybrid. Just like a stand bag, but without the stand. Worked great on my Clicgear. Not the prettiest, but it gets the job done. Good luck.

This is interesting. I thought I was the only one who was trying to get weight down with a Speed Cart and thought I was weird for doing it.
I actually use a Sun Mountain Superlight 3.5 on mine and it works great. I put the plastic pieces on the top of the legs over the plastic rim on the speed cart and it works very well. If the Speed Cart wasn't in the crawl space for the winter I'd take some pictures.
I would also like to find out how to get rid of the bungee system so I can just set my bag on the Speed Cart without using the bungees. Any ideas there?

Don't take this the wrong way, this is the best way I found to deal with that problem: Sell that one and use whatever you get as a down paypent on a Speedcart V1 or V2.

I've had good luck with Ogio bags on my V1 speed cart. I used the Edge last year and the Nexos now which are both heavier than you're looking for but the stand mechanism is pretty much the same on all Ogio bags so you should be safe with any of them. They use a "plunger" type system at the bottom that drops right into the slot on the base of my speed cart. I know what you mean about the roller bottom that Titlest and SM use, it doesn't sit very well on the cart.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I just bought a Ping Freestyle. It seems to work quite well. I'll post down the road if there are any unexpected issues.
