My buddy is at the show and saw the Nerf bag that Rory has been carrying and he said that Rory will be carrying the GI Joe bag next week in honor of our troops! God I hope someone at the show can get some photos of these bags...I guess there are tons of bags an clubs coming out this summer by Hasbro and Rory is the man for Hasbro!

Rory is far from my favorite as there have been a few things he did that I did not agree with. But that stuff aside...those bags are killer and I think it is really neat they are going outside the box and doing something a little different.

US Tour golf makes the bags and holds the Hasbro license. All of the products are due to hit retail in late spring. They will be producing complete lines of golf products based on the famous Hasbro brands, kids clubs, golf games, shoes etc.
Hasbro has two major movies coming out this year, Transformers 2 and G.I. Joe and you can expect product in conjunction with these films. The push is to introduce new kids to the game of golf through toy brands that they love.

I'll be damned. Looks like the Sabbatini marketing angle is paying off. Whudda thunk it! I have a perfect place in the corner of the living room for the Mr. Potato Head staff bag. I'd make due with a Nerf bag as well. This cross-marketing thing is really cool. You know we're going to start seeing more non-golf brands angling for PGA exposure as the market tanks and players are having to go elsewhere for sponsorship revenue. I would totally sport a Twix bag.

I dont think it was even a week ago people HATED the Nerf bag and now like them. I gotta say I thought they were going to be horrible, but they are pretty cool. Dont think I'd buy one though.(my friends would bust my balls to much) But definately a cool idea.
